Bus/Train e-ticket Terms

Booking terms & conditions concerning bus and train e-Tickets (*)

(*) These terms & conditions are valid also for DB Express Bus ticket bought on ČD eshop and other carriers with exception of all REGIOJET buses.

Tickets can be purchased 60 days before the date of departure at the earliest.

Payment process

To ensure a secure payment, you are redirected to a 3rd party payment portal – Global Payments Europe. Accepted cards are: VISA, MasterCard, Maestro, Visa Electron and Diners Club. We receive only the result of the transaction. We do not have access to your payment card data and we cannot make a purchase using the card data provided by you. The payment is identified by a unique order number (Order ID – a 15-digit numeric string).

After a successful payment you will receive a confirmation e-mail. If you don't receive a confirmation e-mail or tickets within 24 hours, please check your SPAM (JUNK) folder first, especially owners of Hotmail, MSN or Live account. Customers who have not received e-tickets and have checked their SPAM are obliged to contact us immediately via: info@czech-transport.com. Czech-Transport.com is not responsible for claims received later than 24 hours before the departure or after the due date. Any travel expenses claims received after the e-ticket expiration will not be accepted and you will not be entitled to reimbursement for those expenses.

A payment due is considered made when it appears on our account.

We cannot accept PayPal payments for less than 20 EUR. In such cases the payment is refunded and customer receives an e-mail with more information and a link for payment by card.

If due to any circumstances we cannot purchase the ticket (e.g. the bus / train is full) you receive the full refund.

In case of complications with the order you will be contacted by e-mail. If you do not respond in 3 days to the repeated e-mails or SMS from Czech-transport, we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund you. Czech-transport is not liable for any damage caused in such situations.

The price of each ticket includes the booking fee (5–20 EUR/person). Prices change in time and depend on the occupancy of the chosen connection.

Travel document – eTicket

When booking an e-ticket, make sure your name and surname match with the names on your passport. Passengers with more than one name or surname have to give us only one name and one surname.

By agreeing to this document you authorize the company H-TEAM, s.r.o. (site operator www.czech-transport.com) to the use your personal data for buying the travel documents on e-Shops of the transport companies – such as ČD (Czech Railways), ŽSR (Slovak Railways), ÖBB (Austria Railways), PKP (Polish railways), ambus.cz, ČSAD Tišnov spol. s r.o., LEO EXPRESS or Tourbus.

If the transaction is successful, we will send the ticket to your e-mail address in PDF format within 24 hours. You have to print the ticket out on a printer (on an A4 sheet / US letter), and the printed ticket is considered a valid travel document.

Urgent orders (with departure within 24 hours) will be processed within 6 hours after we received the order. If there are any complications (tickets not available, operational closures,…) the order will be cancelled with full refund.

Travel document (eTicket) issued in the passenger's name is a non-transferable. E-Ticket is valid only with the valid personal identification. It can be used for specific bus/train, route, day and time, for which it was purchased. Passenger(s) will be requested on board to present travel documents together with personal identification on international routes. If passenger(s) fail(s) to show either train ticket or ID, travel document becomes invalid.

BUS E-TICKETS: Bus e-tickets have to be printed and passengers have to show them to their driver before boarding the bus.

TRAIN E-TICKETS: Upon ticket inspection, the passengers must always present their ID (passport). The child's age need not be proven during international transport.

  • After you board the train, look for the ticket inspector who will stamp your ticket. If, after 20 – 30 minutes, they have not inspected your tickets, please go to find them and ask them to stamp your ticket.
  • Seat reservations may be issued together for all passengers as a separate part (page) of the ticket (PDF document) with only a name of one passenger. The customers must print all pages of the ticket.
  • Depending on the ticket type, some tickets are invalid if they are used for another train/bus connection and/or departure date. Other tickets (Czech trains) can be used for later trains departing on the same departure date.

E-TICKET IS NOT VALID IF:

  • it has been damaged, or the information on it has been made illegible, unrecognisable or been altered
  • identity document or required document of entitlement shown on the ticket cannot be produced or has expired

If a passenger fails to comply with the conditions above, he or she is considered a passenger without a valid travel document as per the Contractual and Transport Conditions for Public Passenger Transport (SPPO), or, in international transport, in the Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail (COTIF), the Uniform Rules concerning the Contract for International Carriage of Passengers and Luggage by Rail (CIV) and the Standard International Passenger Tariff (TCV).

On Czech trains children up to 6 years old travel for free without seat reservations (they do not have their own seats and must sit on laps of their parents).

Seat reservation purchase

If purchasing seat reservation individually, the automatic reservation system will assign adjacent seats by its availability and it could mean that passengers will not be seated next to one another.

Occasionally, if seat reservations cannot be purchased on-line, we automatically buy only the ticket and refund you the seat reservation price. In these cases the reservations are not obligatory, but can be bought at a train station before departure, or on the train.

Refunds, cancellations and exchanges

If the order has not been processed yet (status pending), it can be cancelled by e-mail. Then the cancellation fee is 10 % of the price.

BUSES: Cancellations and changes of bus e-tickets are handled individually according to terms and conditions of the bus carrier. Customers have to contact us by e-mail with inquiry at least 24 hours in advance.

TRAINS:

  • Exchanges are not possible.

Security and protection of information

We declare that all personal data are considered confidential, shall be used solely for internal needs, shall not be made public, provided to a third party or abused in any other way. When handling personal data, we shall abide by the Czech law no. 101/2000 Coll. on personal data protection.

Important notes

  • Any claims made less than 24 hours before the departure will not be accepted.
  • Travel insurance is recommended.
  • Travellers are responsible for ensuring that they have all necessary travel documents and visas.
