Dear Fred, thank you for contacting us. You can travel with a bicycle only indirectly through Breclav (one change there). The price of the ticket and reservation for the bicycle is about 12 EUR for 1 train. We could provide you with the ticket if you gave us more travel details. Kind regards Pavla

        Dear Pavla

I have been reading through my emails and after reading I just wanted to check…it is possible to go by train with our bikes from Budapest to Vienna but we have to change at Breclav. I have looked on the web about Breclav and it looks like a nice place to visit so we might go Budapest to Breclav stay a few days then go on train again with bikes to Vienna. Is this possible.

        Regards Fred Hillier

        Dear Pavla

Thankyou for your prompt reply to my question re bikes on trains. There is one question I have about your email you said 12 EUR for 1 train. Do you mean 12 EUR for 1 bike.

My wife and I arrive in Thessaloniki on the 25th March where we are buying two bikes touring the Greek islands then travelling Thessaloniki, Budapest, Vienna, Munchen then to Switzerland. We do not want to ride between these cities but take trains and buses.

We have a blog www.tbeartravels.com it tells why we are doing the trip.

Thanks again, I will probably contact you again when the time gets closer.
