Buying overnight train tickets before departure

Hello,I would prefer to buy my train ticket at the train station on the travelling day, but I am wondering the overnight train's sleeper compartment will be available on my travelling day.

In the summer&winter season sleeper and couchette carriages may be fully occupied; we therefore recommend that you purchase tickets in advance. Tickets can be purchased up to 60 days prior to departure. For selected connections the period for advance sales may be shortened or extended. You can also buy train ticket shortly before train departure. We recommend, however, not to rely on the very last moment as all compartments may already be sold out.
