Dear Lynn,
thank you for contacting us.
seniors over 70 years old can travel for free, they have to have a Czech ID
or a pass/card from DPP (Prague public transport). You need to go to a sale
point or an information center of DPP and give them 1) 30 CZK, 2) your
photograph, 3) your passport. In a few minutes you will have a discount card and
you will be able to travel free of charge. Where to find sale points in metro
and information centers.
Kind regards

My wife and I are both seniors. We are going to travel to Prague and other
places in Czechia for the first time in June 2017. My wife turned 70 years old
on 24 August 2016. Questions:
Is she entitled to get a pass/card in order to travel for free in Prague
because technically she is not over 70 until 24 August 2017.
What size photograph is required?
Where are the locations of the sale point and DPP information center that
are closest to the Hotel NH Prague City on Mozartova Str. Smichov.
Is the pass/card entitled you to get a discount on a train to
Kutna Hora.
Thanks Usman

Dear Usman, thank you for contacting us. There are changes. Passengers
70 and older can travel for free and they have to prove their age by showing a
passport to a conductor on the tram/bus/metro in Prague. Se the official fares,
part free transport: http://www.dpp.cz/…s-in-prague/.
Kind regards Pavla
