Zlínfest – Film Festival for Children and Young People takes place in Zlín from 27th of May until 3th of June 2015.
The Zlín Film Festival is held annually from 2008 and is focused mainly on cinema for children. With almost 50 years of continual history belongs to one of the oldest festival worldwide. It features several international competitions, augmented by industry events and special events.
The history and carefully composed pro gramme makes the festival one of the largest children’s film festival in the world and has established a strong reputation amongst international film professionals. The festival also keeps alive Zlín’s cinematic heritage as the cornerstone of Czech Animation and the home of the 70 years old studios where acclaimed film-maker Karel Zeman created his greatest work.
