Is the overnight train from Prague to auschwitz and the overnight train to
krakow the same train, just the auschwitz stop being before krakow? Also, is
there a place (and cost) to store luggage (size restrictions) at the Auscwitz
station if wanting to explore the camp for the day? Also, where and how is the
best way to leave auschwitz after visiting the camp back to krakow for the
night? Or would you recommend going to krakow first, checking into hotel to drop
off luggage and then backtracking back to auschwitz and then back to krakow for
the night? Also, how far is the camp from the station?

Dear Amy, yes, you are correct about the train. As to the luggage
restrictions at the Oswiecim station, I am sorry I am not sure. If you need
details about the stations, contact directly the polish railways, please. To me
it seems better to go to Krakow first – at 5 am Auschwitz is dead city. The
camp opens at 8 or 9 am. Between Krakow and Auschwitz there are regular trains
and buses. Kind regards Pavla
