Booking terms & conditions concerning bus and train e-Tickets

These terms & conditions are valid for tickets bought on e-shops of ČD, ŽSR, ÖBB, PKP, amsbus, ČSAD Tišnov, Regabus, Tourbus, KAD and other carriers with exception of all REGIOJET buses. The Czech-transport travel agency is a reseller of the carriers.

PLACING AN ORDER

  • Tickets can be purchased 30/60 days before the date of departure at the earliest.

We require the following information:

  • The passenger’s full name – the name of one of the passengers /of all passengers. Make sure that your name and surname match with your passport. Passengers with more than one name or surname have to give us only one name and one surname.Name must be in Latin letters only as per travel documents. If the details are written in another language, they will be automatically converted according to the translators. The passenger is responsible for the incorrectness of the surname if the passenger's name is given in another language.
  • The passenger’s valid e-mail address (ideally also an alternative e-mail address).
  • The passenger’s valid telephone contact including the country calling code.
  • Date of birth of the passenger(s) ( on request according to the rules of the railway carriers)
  • Passport/ID number ( on request as per the rules of the railway undertakings)

By agreeing to this document you authorize the company H-TEAM, s.r.o. (site operator www.czech-transport.com) to use your personal data for buying travel documents on e-Shops of the transport companies – such as ČD (Czech Railways), ŽSR (Slovak Railways), ÖBB (Austria Railways), PKP (Polish railways), ambus.cz, ČSAD Tišnov spol. s r.o., LEO EXPRESS or Tourbus.

We declare that all personal data are considered confidential, shall be used solely for internal needs, shall not be made public, provided to a third party or abused in any other way. When handling personal data, we shall abide by the Czech law no. 101/2000 Coll. on personal data protection.

Train/bus departure time and station

  • Passengers have a responsibility to learn about the correct departure location of the bus in advance. For up-to-date information visit the carrier’s website.
  • There are service disruptions and timetable changes due to engineering works across the railway network in central Europe.
  • Passengers need to double-check their departure times at least 12 hours in advance. Some trains can depart 1–2 hours earlier on certain days. They can verify the departure time at a train station, by telephone or online.

Payment process

To ensure the secure payment, you are redirected to a 3rd party payment portal. We do not have access to your payment card data and we cannot make any purchase using the card data provided by you. The payment is identified by the unique order number (Order ID – a 5-digit numeric string). The order is considered paid and received by us after the price is credited to our bank account. After that, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail and/or your tickets within 12 hours:
1) double-check your SPAM (JUNK) folder.
2) if the ticket is not in your SPAM (JUNK), you need to contact us on: info@czech-transport.com. If the ticket is purchased for the next day, call +420 776877890 immediately.

Any claims made less than 24 hours before the departure will not be accepted. Any travel expenses claims received after the e-ticket expiration will not be accepted and you will not be entitled to reimbursement for those expenses.

Unavailable sold out tickets

If due to any circumstances we cannot purchase the ticket (e.g. the train/bus is full, a mistake in the booking system…) we will contact you by e-mail. The default guaranteed option is a full refund within 3–4 working days. We also offer other alternatives.

If there are any complications with the order, you will be contacted by e-mail. If you do not respond in 3 days to the repeated e-mails or SMS messages from Czech-transport, we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund you. Czech-transport is not liable for any damage caused in such situations.

Ticket prices

By purchasing the tickets through us, customers agree to our prices and further claims cannot be accepted. Czech-transport prices do not have to correspond to the prices on tickets. The price of each ticket includes the booking fee (5–25 EUR/person). The booking fee is non-refundable. Prices change in time and depend on the occupancy of the chosen connection.

TRAVEL DOCUMENT

  • If the transaction is successful and there are no ticket availability problems, we send the PDF ticket to your e-mail address

a) during working hours 9:00 – 19:00 PM, dispatch the ticket as soon as possible within 3 hours after ordering

b) from 19:00 – 9:00 AM and weekends, public holidays, dispatch of the ticket max. within 12 hours of ordering the ticket

c) Tickets with departure within 2 to 6 hours after ordering will be processed immediately and with priority. If there are any complications (tickets not available, operational closures,…) the order is canceled with a full refund

  • You need to present your ticket together with valid personal identification (passport, ID) on the train/bus. Without it, you cannot be transported and are not entitled to any refund of the fare.
  • E-ticket can be used only for the specific bus/train, route, passenger, day, and time, for which it was purchased. Exception: Tickets for some Czech trains can be used for later trains departing on the same departure date.
  • When processing tickets, the administrator has the right to:
    • use only one passenger name, even if two or more passengers will be traveling, for the purpose of processing the ticket and placing all passengers as close together as possible.
    • to use only one passenger name when processing tickets for night trains so that passengers can be in one compartment
    • reserves the right to automatically change from one class of ticket to another and vice versa if, for technical reasons and line closures, the first class is unavailable, in which case the price difference will be automatically refunded to the passenger's account
  • You have to print the ticket out on a printer (on an A4 sheet / US letter), and the printed ticket is considered a valid travel document. The passenger will receive an information email stating whether or not he/she must print the ticket.

E-TICKET IS NOT VALID IF:

  • it is not printed on a white sheet of paper (A4 format). The passenger will receive an information email stating whether or not he/she must print the ticket.
  • it has been damaged, or the information on it is illegible/ altered
  • the identity document or required document of entitlement shown on the ticket cannot be produced or has expired

If a passenger fails to comply with the conditions above, he or she is considered a passenger without a valid travel document and is not entitled to any refund of the fare.

Train e-tickets

  • After you board the train, look for the ticket inspector who will stamp your ticket. If, after 20 – 30 minutes, they have not inspected your tickets, please go to find them and ask them to stamp your ticket.
  • Seat reservations/train electronic tickets may be issued together for all passengers of the ticket (PDF document) with only the name of one passenger.
  • On Czech trains children up to 4 years old travel for free without seat reservations (they do not have their own seats and must sit on the laps of their parents).

CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS, EXCHANGES, CLAIMS

Cancellations

The passenger must request a cancellation via the app and use the „Cancel Ticket“ button. The button is located directly below the e-ticket and above the personal details.

Pending orders

If the order has not been processed yet and still has a status pending, customers can request a cancellation via the app and use the „Cancel Ticket“ button.**. The cancellation fee is 15% of the total price of the order in such cases.

BUSES

  • Cancellations and changes of bus e-tickets are handled individually according to the terms and conditions of the bus carrier. Customers have to request a cancellation via the app and use the „Cancel Ticket“ button at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Nonrefundable: administration fee, seat reservations

TRAINS

  • Exchanges are not possible.
  • Cancellations and refunds of train e-tickets are handled individually according to the terms and conditions of the carrier and the ticket type. Customers have to contact us by e-mail with inquiries at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Nonrefundable: e-tickets from/to Poland and Hungary, and within Austria, by Dbahn carrier
  • Nonrefundable: administration fee, seat reservations

Claims

If your connection is delayed or you were not satisfied with the service, write us an e-mail with a description of the situation and your order number at info@czech-transport.com. We will submit the claim directly to the carrier for investigation and the final decision about the compensation/re­fund.

It is also required to immediately ask the bus/train staff to issue a written confirmation about the problem (delay, lost or damaged luggage etc.).

Further information, Important notes

  • Travel insurance is recommended.
  • Travellers are responsible for ensuring that they have all necessary travel documents and visas
  • Passengers must comply with the carrier's ter­ms/conditions and all cross-border regulations on the route. This includes presenting necessary documents (health/work-related etc.), wearing personal protective equipment, etc. If passengers do not comply with them and encounter problems, Czech-Transport is not liable for any damage and will not refund the ticket cost in such cases.
  • These terms apply when trains/buses are running but passengers cannot travel for reasons beyond their control (e.g. government-applied security or health measures). In such a case, any claim will be treated as a cancellation, subject to the cancellation conditions below. We recommend making sure your travel insurance covers Trip cancellation.

Train/bus departure time and station

Seat reservation purchase

If purchasing seat reservations individually, the automatic reservation system will assign adjacent seats by their availability and it could mean that passengers will not be seated next to one another.

Occasionally, if seat reservations cannot be purchased online, we automatically buy only the ticket and refund you the seat reservation price. In these cases, the reservations are not obligatory but can be bought at a train station before departure, or on the train.

Exception for ticket processing from Vienna to Kyiv and back

  1. Advance ticketing is only 20 – 22 days in advance.
  2. Only berths are on sale, divided into female and male coupes. If a woman travels and has a male child over 4 years old, she must book a compartment for herself only. She cannot travel in a female compartment with a child of a different gender.
  3. The passenger will only receive an information email with an electronic code. They will have to use this code at the station to print the ticket at the OEBB ticket machine or at the OEBB office. It is recommended to print the ticket at least 2–3 hours before the train departure.
  4. No PDF electronic ticket will be issued.
  5. Tickets can only be canceled online if not printed from the machine. The cancellation fee in this case is from 60–90%. It depends on when the ticket will be canceled. Tickets cannot be canceled on the day of departure.
  6. Cancellation of an already printed ticket is subject to the rules of the carrier OEBB. The passenger will have to go to the international ticket office in Vienna with the printed ticket and cancel the ticket himself directly at the station.

Bicycles

An advance reservation of bicycles is either required or recommended.

The price includes a bicycle ticket, a reservation and a booking fee.

Bicycle tickets and reservations cannot be changed, canceled, or refunded.
Passengers are responsible for loading and overseeing their bicycles on trains. The carrier or Czech transport is not responsible for any damage or loss of bicycles on the train.
