I am will be taking the EC104 train from Vienna to Breclav. I have
3 minutes to change to take the train EC280 to Prague. Does it depart from the
same platform? Do both trains go on the same direction? I am concerned not to
be able to make the transfer. Any helpful information you send me is
appreciated.

will not depart from the same platform.
I can only recommend you to cancel your actual ticket and change it to the
direct train from Vienna to Prague.
