Hi there,\r\n\r\nWe are departing Berlin on Sept 27, early morning, and are thinking about a stop-over in Dresden before arriving in Prague on the same day. I see that the cost for Berlin to Prague directly is 70 euro – can you advise what further arrangements I would have to make for stopping for 3+ hours in Dresden, then continuing onto Prague?\r\n\r\nThank you so much!

Dear customer, thank you for contacting us. If you buy the tickets Berlin-Prague, you can stop for a few hours in Dresden and then resume the journey. Only your seat reservation will not be valid anymore then. Kind regards

Pavla, thank you so much for your advice. When you say my seat reservation will not be valid anymore (when I resume my trip to Prague from Dresden), I assume this means I am not guaranteed a seat on the train, when I board at Dresden? Perhaps I should purchase 2 train tickets, one for Berlin to Dresden, and another from Dresden to Prague.

Once again…thank you so much, your advice is appreciated.

Hello. Yes, you understand correctly. It is up to you. You can book 1 ticket (less expensive, you will need to find seats for you for the Dresden-Prague part), or the 2 separately (more expensive, you can have seat reservations for both parts of the journey.). Kind regards Pavlina

following the same question as above, what is the likelihood that I would NOT find a seat?

Dear Syl, thank you too for contacting us. Well, it depends on if you travel during weekend or in summer (then are the trains more busy). If you wish to travel totaly in peace, you can book the two tickets-each with reservations of seats. Kind regards Pavla
