thinking about a stop-over in Dresden before arriving in Prague on the same day.
I see that the cost for Berlin to Prague directly is 70 euro – can you
advise what further arrangements I would have to make for stopping for 3+ hours

Berlin-Prague, you can stop for a few hours in Dresden and then resume the
journey. Only your seat reservation will not be valid anymore then. Kind
