Hello, according to the website
(railandbike.net/en/bike-train/348-hungary/27-eurocity-ec/0#p4) there is
bicycle transport possible until September on both EC 345 / EC149 train from
Vienna to Budapest. Please confirm if this is true. However it's not possible
to buy bicycle tickets online, is there any option to make a reservation and
ensure there will be space for our bicycles?

Hello, do you have a special date in mind? How many bicycles? I will check
the availability. Ordering is possible by email. Thank you. Pavla

Thank you for reply. There are two of us. We have decided to disassembly and
completely pack bicycles into manufacturer cardboxes and transport them as
standard luggage as there is faster and cheaper connection from Passau to
Budapest by RegionalExpress, ICE and then EC train. These are all ÖBB trains so
I suppose I should contact not with you but with ÖBB to confirm that we will
not exceed luggage allowance, however I haven't found any information about
restrictions on their site.

Hello, thank you for the information. If you are buying the tickets from them
it would be better to ask the directly.
If you wanted to travel with the bicycles – not folded – it is also
possible. But with 2 changes from Passau to Budapest – 9 hour trip.
