Prague to Zurich by train with tandem bicycle, is this possible?

Hi we intend to travel from Prague to Zurich this year by train with our tandem bike. What are the issues if any, and can they be overcome easily? We then hope to cycle along the Rhine. Any info would be much appreciated.

Hi Pavia, Thanks for your quick response. The tandem can be taken apart, but due to the time involved to do this, we would prefer if at all possible to keep it assembled. Iideally we would like to keep it together, and it also has a trailer. Reason for this is when reassembled, re- setting the gears can be tricky and time consuming. Approximate date of travel from Prague to Zurich would be end of June to early August.

Hello again, my senior colleague consulted it with the railways, you should be able to accommodate the bicycle in one space (in one piece). The price for the tandem bicycle should be 15–19 €. Write us 2 moths before the departure date if you require our assistance. Kind regards Pavla
