Hi, Sorry to bother you but I wonder if you could please help me. My niece and some friends plan to go interrailing this July. Part of their planned trip is to travel by rail from Krakow to Prague. Your website states that there is only one direct train and that it goes at night. However, on the same page there is a section entitled Direct trains : Krakow-Prague, which lists TLK 114 Cracovia departing 10:20 and arriving Prague 17:39. Can you please tell me:

    1. Is this a direct train?
    2. I notice there is a 37mins stop at Bohumin Station. Is there a change of trains required there to continue the journey to Prague?
    3. Is the train journey by express the whole way?
    4. Is this train covered by an Interrail Global Pass?
    5. Train-wise, which is the best option for daytime travel? This one or the route with the change at Katowice?

Sorry for so many questions. Kind regards, Angela

Dear Angela, thank you for contacting us. I updated the website. Yes, the night and day train are direct – no changes. But they stop at certain stations for a bit longer. The trains are covered by the passes. Your niece will only need a seat/bed reservation. She can travel during the day or at night. It is a question of what she prefers. The schedules are here: https://czech-transport.com/index.php?…. Kind regards Pavla
