We will be traveling from Budapest on Sept 3rd, 2011 and then to Vienna for
3 days and final destination Prague. Would it be better to purchase an open
ticket or reserve our seats? We plan to travel early morning each day
we leave.

Hi, it is always advisable to purchase seat reservation as during the summer
trains tend to get full. But train ride from Budapest to Vienna takes about
2hours so it is completely up to your decision.
