Is there passport control at border crossings during the trip from Prague to
Budapest? And more to the point, if we are on the night train, will we be woken
up for passport control at the borders or will we be able to sleep through the
length of the trip?

Hello. Thank you for the comment. You do not need to worry, you can sleep all
night on the overnight train. No waking up in the middle of the night.
