Infant ticket - FAQ - Train Electronic Tickets

Hi,

We are 5 adults and 2 infants (5 months and 15 months) who will be travelling from Prague to Vienna by train in mid April. I have below mentioned doubts:

1.) Do we need to book 5 tics for just the adults or do we need to book 7 tickets including the infants.

2.) Is the infant ticket chargeable?

3.) We will not be carrying car seat and holding the infants in our arms. I hope that is fine. Please let us know.

4.) If we book standard or relax tickets travelling with infants, will that be fine.

5.) please let us know any other instruction which we need to know while travelling in train with infants.

Dear Akhil Somani, thank you for contacting us. As to your questions,

(1) if you do not buy the child tickets, the kids will have to sit on your lap. So you can either book tickets for both, or just one child ticket. Or you do not have to buy any child ticket.
(2) it depends on the train that you choose. If there is a child discount, you will be refunded
(3) That is fine
(5) If you travel without child strollers, you can just book here.
If you have strollers, can you tell me the train/time/date that you want, so I can look which kind of seats would be best for you. Kind regards, Pavla
