I was wondering what a UK citizen can use as their identity card which has
to be provided when buying the tickets online and has to be shown when on the
train, and if I do not have any form of this identification how do I obtain
some valid I.D.?

Dear Ryan, we do not require any form of identification if you buy paper
train tickets. There are no passenger names on these tickets. We need a name and
address for administrative/delivery purposes. If you are interested in
e-tickets, then you can write there your ID/passport number and then present
this document to a conductor along with the printed e-ticket. Kind regards
