Prague Airport ↔ Nádraží Holešovice — private transfer

Holešovice is not the main station, and that catches people out. It sits on the far side of the city from the airport, so the public-transport trip involves two metro lines and a change with your luggage. A car does it in about half an hour, for a fixed price per vehicle.

First: is your train really from Holešovice?

Worth ten seconds with your ticket, because the two Prague stations are 3 metro stops apart and turning up at the wrong one is the classic way to miss a train.

• Yes, Holešovice if you are travelling between Vienna or Budapest and Berlin or Hamburg. Since the 2026 timetable those through trains run via Praha-Holešovice and do not call at the main station at all. The same goes for a good share of the EuroCity services to Dresden and Berlin.
• The main station (Praha hl.n.) for most domestic trains — Brno, Ostrava, Olomouc, Plzeň — and for the trains to Vienna and Kraków that terminate in Prague. That route has its own page.
• If the ticket says Praha-Holešovice or Prague Holesovice, you are in the right place.

How long it takes, and the alternative

• By car: roughly 30 to 35 minutes from the terminals, longer in the afternoon rush. Add the time to get out of the airport itself — with hold luggage reckon on being in the car 40 minutes after landing from Terminal 2, and about an hour from Terminal 1, where passport control adds a queue nobody can predict.
• By public transport: trolleybus 59 to Nádraží Veleslavín, metro A to Muzeum, change to metro C, and on to Nádraží Holešovice. About an hour all told, two changes, and the interchange at Muzeum means stairs with your suitcases. One 90-minute ticket (50 CZK) covers the whole thing, and it is genuinely the cheapest way — we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.

The honest summary: alone with a backpack, take the metro. With bags, a family, or a train to catch on the other side, the car is the reason this page exists.

Where the driver will be waiting

• At the airport: inside the arrivals hall, holding a sign with your name. Drivers come in when the baggage delivery starts, so if you have hand luggage only, say so when booking — otherwise the driver may still be in the car park when you walk out. The first 20 minutes of airport parking are covered and the waiting itself is free.
• At Nádraží Holešovice: in the station hall, with your name on a sign. It is a small building — one hall, one exit to the metro — so there is nothing to get lost in.
• Send us the flight number (or the train number and where you are coming from). That is how we know when to be there, and it is why a delayed arrival costs you nothing.
• Cannot find the driver? Call the 24-hour dispatch on +420 776 877 890 and stay in the hall — that is where they are looking for you.

Good to know

• The station is small, and so are its services. There is a ticket office and a 24-hour passenger hall, but no left-luggage counter — the nearest one is at the main station, three stops away on metro C. If you have hours to kill before a night train, that is worth knowing before you arrive.
• Metro C, trams 6, 12 and 17 stop directly outside, and the coach station is next door — that is where the buses to Liberec and several international lines leave from.
